Sarah Dockter (b. 2001, Madison, WI) is a filmmaker who focuses on editing, documentary, and personal cinema work. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in May of 2023 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee through their Film Department. Throughout her time at UW-Milwaukee, she explored a wide variety of filmmaking styles that were initially unknown to her and expanded her knowledge of the ever-growing world of filmmaking. Sarah also comes from a music background playing primarily bass and French horn. She implements this musicality in her editing to make sure everything has a sense of rhythm.
Sarah was able to work with the Milwaukee Underground Film Festival during her time at UWM. She took on a multitude of tasks such as viewing and selecting film submissions and working behind the scenes to promote the festival on social media but focused primarily on the production and editing of the Festival Trailer that was screened before every program of the Spring 2022 Festival.
